Okay, we LOVE St. George. It's our favorite place to pack up and head to even if it's just for the weekend. It's not too far away and the weather is always warmer down there. Jordan's dad has a house in Washington and he's nice enough to let us stay there whenever we like! We drove down there Thursday afternoon and stayed until Monday. It was a much needed getaway!
Our friends Tj and Kat live down there so we got to hang out with them. They're getting married in San Diego on March 10, and we can't wait- we're so happy for them!

Love this guy
While we were down there the weather was PERFECT for being outside! We were able to go on bike rides, play tennis, and swim (okay maybe it was an indoor pool).
Heading out on our bike ride
It's so pretty down there!
Last summer, we started playing tennis. Growing up I took a few tennis lessons, and let's just say I was awful. I never got to play the games the "other" kids in the class were playing. One day I asked my teacher if I could play with the other kids and she just laughed and told me I wasn't ready. Needless to say, when Jordan suggested to start playing I thought it was a terrible idea. We'd hit the courts every chance we got and we're not too shabby! It's something we'll be able to enjoy together for years to come.
Ever since our first trip down to St. George together when we were dating we've always listened to Ben Kweller on the ride home. It's now our tradition. The drive home just wouldn't be the same without good old Ben!
Okay, so I'm a little reluctant to share this story...but I guess now that it's over it's maybe a little funny. We got to St. George at about 8:30 on Thursday-right in time for the Jazz game, so clearly the first thing we did was turn on the game. As we were watching the game I realized the fire place was on and thought to myself, "wow that was really sweet for Jord to turn the fire on for me" (this is because I'm always freezing and he's ALWAYS burning hot). Later that night when we were heading to bed I asked him how to turn the fireplace off. He looked at me all weird and said, "I don't know, you were the one who turned it on" I then told him I hadn't turned it on, I thought he turned it on for ME.
After I realized neither of us had turned on the fireplace of course I started thinking someone else HAD to be in the house. (Let's just say I have quite the imagination) Anyways we head to bed and I ask Jordan to lock the door to our room (because I'm convinced someone is going to come kill us in the middle of the night, but maybe I leave that part out). He tries to lock it, but it doesn't work (which I conclude is because whoever is in the house broke the lock so they could come get us in the middle of the night when we least expect it). Jordan zonks out after a few minutes and I'm left WIDE AWAKE imagining all the terrible things that are going to happen when this person decides to come out of hiding and kill us.
Oh, I can't forget to mention that I SWEAR I heard people walking around the kitchen. So time goes by and I'm practically in tears just waiting for someone to come kill us. Here's an example of what I was thinking: Oh shoot, BOTH of our phones are charging on the floor across the room. So when the killer comes in here we won't be able to call 911 and no one will even know we've been killed. (Sounds crazy now but not so much then)
4:00 AM rolls around and I'm still wide awake. Finally Jordan wakes up a little and I comment on how bloody hot our room is. He suggests that I go turn on the air, which of course I say no because I'm the only one who knows about the killer. He rolls out of bed to turn the air on while I lay terrified in bed waiting to hear him scream. Well....a few minutes pass and he comes back in unharmed (thank heavens). Afterwards, I finally manage to fall asleep for a few hours.
The next morning he asks how I slept and I tell him I didn't go to sleep till after 4. He asks why and I tell him how I'm convinced someone is in the house. He told me he's checked all the rooms before we went to bed and there is NO ONE in the house. (Still I don't believe him). SO my sweet, adorable husband goes to the garage, grabs 2 golf clubs and says, "Okay Sarah, we're going to look in all the rooms, closets, and under the beds and I'll show you that nobody is here". So we looked through the whole house and......no one was there! Hahaha apparently I'm just paranoid, crazy, and have a ridiculous imagination. Oh well....maybe one day I'll grow up.
Oh Ben Kweller. What a guy eh?
