Jordan and I were lucky enough to go to St. Thomas for a week at the end of August with my family. We stayed at the Marriott's Frenchman's Cove and it was BEAUTIFUL! They had a huge pool with a water slide and a volleyball net. You only had to take a few steps from the pool and you'd be at the beach! They had a dock you could jump off, a water trampoline (that wasn't very bouncy), and other water toys. There also were a lot of rocks around, which were great for snorkeling! Jordan and Mike even saw some sea turtles!
One of our favorite things to do at the beach was catch critters (you know...like hermit crabs) and look for sea shells. We maybe put them all in a cup and took them up to our room...just don't tell my mom!
We also loved looking for lizards? iguana's? I'm not quite sure what they were called...but they were BIG and freaky, but Jordan loved them! While we were there one actually bit someone's finger! Needless to say, I kept my distance! There were also sea urchins in the water, so you had to be careful! On one of the stormy days one of them got washed up...they look pretty cool!
The second day we were there we went to Magens Bay. It was beautiful there! Jordan and I took a walk from one end of the beach to the other. On our walk we saw a couple getting married....and....a
woman man walking around in a white g-string (mind you, it was COMPLETELY see through), a bikini top, and wearing makeup and earrings. It was
hilarious AWFUL! I guess this guy was on a cruise because we heard a lady next to us saying how he would wear skirts to the dinners and she thought, "if you have a penis you SHOULDN'T be wearing a skirt!" Amen sister!
After we left Magens Bay, we stopped by Sapphire Beach. We didn't stay too long, but it was
so pretty!
Of course while we were there we HAD to stop at the flea market. Although it's nothing compared to the one in Cancun, we were all able to find at least one thing we wanted! I got a cute pair of earrings for pretty dang cheap, but only because my husband knows how to talk his way into things! Good thing I have him around!
Dinners were always an adventure! We ate at some good places! One night we ate at The Pie Whole (yes I know we all had fun with that name), The Green House (we ate there on Ben's birthday), Mim's (which was RIGHT on the beach), a killer burger place (that I can't remember the name of), and the restaurant at hour hotel. Jord tried to pack 5 shirts like the one below...after I told him how retarded he would look he said, "Well you just don't like to have fun!" Not true...I just didn't want my husband looking like a dweeb all week. But, he ended up looking pretty cute in it...minus the fact that he buttoned it right to the top!
The first couple days we were in St. Thomas, the weather was perfect- hot and sunny all day long! But the last few days it rained quite a bit because "Tropical Storm Isaac" was passing through. It was nice though because it would just rain on and off. Plus the rain was so warm, it was actually fun to be outside. The weather didn't put a damper on our spirits!
My favorite day was when we went over to St. John. We had to take a ferry over there, and let's just say it wasn't quite how I pictured it. They jammed as many cars and trucks onto those things as they could!
Once we got to St. John we headed over to Trunk Bay. I can honestly say this is the most beautiful place I have ever been. White sand beaches and clear water all surrounded by lush greenery. We all swam around for quite awhile and it started to
rain pour! It was so fun to swim in the pouring rain with mist coming off of the water. I didn't want to leave...EVER!
We also headed to Cinnamon Bay which was also beautiful! It's part of St. John's National Park.

As you can tell from all the pictures, we had a BLAST! Jordan was SO cute with all my siblings. Every day I can't help but feel how blessed I am for such an amazing family and husband! Thanks again mom, for the trip!
